Hello Merrill Families,

I hope everyone is well and is prepared for our pending Nor’easter. Here is our weekly information:

  • Remote Learning Monday & Tuesday – Superintendent Swenson sent an email earlier announcing that due to the upcoming snowstorm, students will engage in remote learning both Monday and Tuesday (February 1st & 2nd). As explained, both days will follow a Wednesday schedule… students will participate in 2.5 hours of teaching time with their teacher through Google classroom and then independent activities for the rest of the day. Please contact your child’s teacher or Mrs. Westell if you have any questions. Please note, there will be no remote meal pickup on Monday and Tuesday.
  • Bridgewater-Raynham SEPAC - Mark your calendars and save the date for Bridgewater-Raynham SEPAC  annual Basic Rights Presentation: February 25, 2021 from 6:30pm - 8:30pm.This FREE training provides helpful insights to the complexities of special education law and procedures. This training is presented by the Federation for Children with Special Needs.

We'd love to know you are coming, so please feel free to reach out to us at to rsvp or with questions about the event!

  • Free Cookie with Lunch – Our cafeteria vendor, Chartwells, is planning to add a free fresh baked whole grain cookie treat (sugar, choc chip or double chocolate) to all lunches at all schools and remotely on Tuesday/Friday Feb 2, Feb 5, Feb 9, Feb 12. (Please not that due to the snowstorm, students will learn remotely with their teacher and no lunches will be served on Tuesday, February 2nd.)

They are peanut free and noted on the menus.

They contain eggs, milk, soy and wheat, total carbs each cookie about 18g.

  • Parent-Teacher Conferences – Our 2nd trimester for parent-teacher conferences will be held virtually on the evening of March 1st and all day plus the evening on Wednesday, March 3rd. More information will be made available soon.

  • Specialists – Starting Thursday, February 4th, students will have the opportunity to experience a different specialist (art, music, physical education) class. Due to COVID, we had to develop a specialist schedule that was a little different than what we were use to. Teachers will notify you of your child’s new special.

Have a great week! Please stay safe and be well.

All my best,

Deb Westell, Principal

Craig Poulos, Assistant Principal
